David Evans

A leading figure in Welsh church music, he taught at University College, Cardiff, for 36 years and built up a large music department there. He held an Oxford doctorate in music and was a respected judge at Welsh hymn-singing festivals. His compositions range from orchestral and choral works to hymn tunes and arrangements.
