Franklin L. Sheppard

After the University of Pennsylvania he went into the family foundry business in Baltimore, playing organ at Zion Episcopal Church on the side and later taking a leading role at Second Presbyterian. As president of the Presbyterian Board of Publications he helped shape the 1911 hymnal. He arranged TERRA BEATA for his friend Maltbie Babcock's "This is my Father's world" and printed it in a 1915 church school hymnal.
