Frederick D. Huntington

Trained at Amherst and the Cambridge Divinity School, he spent thirteen years as a Unitarian minister in Boston and then taught Christian morals at Harvard. In 1859 he took Episcopal orders, and a decade later he was consecrated Bishop of Central New York. With Frederic Hedge he edited two hymn collections, including Hymns for the Church of Christ in 1853.
