Handley C. G. Moule

Son of a clergyman, he was born at Fordington and took first-class honors at Trinity College, Cambridge. He served as principal of Ridley Hall in Cambridge and as Norrisian Professor of Divinity before becoming Bishop of Durham in 1901. Alongside his commentaries and sermons he wrote many hymns.
