Jane Eliza Leeson

1807–1882

Nothing is recorded of Leeson's personal life. Her early hymns were written for children and gathered in Hymns and Scenes of Childhood in 1842, and she later supplied translations for a Catholic hymnal in 1851. Loving Shepherd of Thy Sheep and Saviour, Teach Me Day by Day are both hers.
