Arranger
Joseph P. Holbrook
1822–1888
An American tune writer working in the parlor-song idiom of his day, who built his collections around the popular melodies of composers like Lowell Mason and William Bradbury. He supplied choir settings for Songs for the Sanctuary in 1871. His own hymnal, Worship in Song, appeared in 1880 and found few takers.
