Oscar Ahnfelt

1813–1882

A Swedish singer and composer, Ahnfelt set many of Lina Sandell's hymns to music, including Day by Day (Blott en Dag). His pietist leanings worried the state church, but King Karl XV liked his music enough to grant him permission to sing and play throughout both of his kingdoms.
