Philip Pusey

1799–1855

Eldest son of a family that had taken the Pusey name in place of Bouverie, he was the brother of the Oxford theologian Edward Pusey. He is remembered in hymnals for his English version of Löwenstern's Lord of Our Life, and God of Our Salvation.
