Ronald A. Nelson

1927–2014

For 37 years he directed the music at Westwood Lutheran Church near Minneapolis, which named him cantor emeritus when he retired. A St. Olaf College graduate, he kept composing and guest conducting in retirement, and in 1999 he was one of fifty composers chosen for a national project marking the new millennium.
