Rowland Hugh Prichard

1811–1887 · Graienyn, near Bala, Merionethshire · Wales

A Welsh textile worker and amateur musician, he had a fine singing voice and led the singing as precentor in his home village near Bala. Welsh periodicals printed many of his tunes, among them Hyfrydol. Late in life he took a job as a loom tender's assistant at a flannel mill in Holywell.
