Samuel O'Malley Cluff

A Church of Ireland minister educated at Trinity College Dublin, he pastored in several Irish parishes before joining the Plymouth Brethren in 1884 and becoming a leader among them. He wrote hymn poems and around a thousand songs. While holding meetings in Scotland with D. L. Moody, Ira Sankey came across his poem on prayer and set it as 'I have a Savior, He's pleading in glory.'
