Wayne Hooper

1920–2007 · Little Rock, Arkansas · United States

Hooper sang baritone in the King's Heralds quartet for eighteen years and wrote the group's arrangements for over thirty, alongside his work as music director of the Voice of Prophecy broadcast. He was musical co-editor of the 1985 Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal and co-wrote its Companion volume. Two universities gave him honorary doctorates in music.
