William H. Ferguson

1874–1950 · Leeds · England

A boy chorister at Magdalen College, Oxford, Ferguson taught at St. Edward's School and then trained for ordination at Cuddesdon Theological College. His career ran through school chaplaincies and wardenships at Lancing, St. Edward's, and Radley before he finished as canon and precentor of Salisbury Cathedral. With Geoffrey Shaw he co-edited The Public School Hymn Book in 1919.
