William H. Parker

A General Baptist in Nottingham, Parker wrote most of his hymns for the Sunday school anniversary services at Chelsea Street Baptist Church in New Basford, where they were first printed on leaflets. Three were taken into The School Hymnal of 1880, and he published a small book of poems two years later.
