William M. Runyan

1870–1957 · Marion, New York · United States

A substitute church organist at twelve, Runyan became a Methodist minister in 1891 and served Kansas churches before turning to evangelism in 1903. He later pastored the Federated Church at John Brown University in Arkansas and edited for Hope Publishing Company until he retired in 1948. He wrote both texts and tunes, among them FAITHFULNESS.
