Author
William Whiting
1825–1878 · Kensington, London · England
Educated at Clapham and Winchester, Whiting became master of the Winchester College Choristers' School. His Rural Thoughts (1851) was a book of poems with no hymns in it, and the handful of texts he wrote for collections between 1868 and 1872 were little used. The one exception is 'Eternal Father, strong to save'.
